Installation Steps
The Pool & Spa Revitalizer is fitted with 2-inch NPT threads.If the existing plumbing differs, ensure the installer provides the appropriate reducer or adapter before installation
The Pool & Spa Revitalizer may be installed in either direction, vertically or horizontally. Ensure the piping is supported, deburred, and clean.
Install the Pool & Spa Revitalizer in-line after the pump and filtration system whenever practical. Where space allows, placement downstream of chemical treatment is recommended. If required, the Pool & Spa Revitalizer may also be installed before chemical dosing without affecting performance. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, as this could shorten its service life and potentially void the warranty. If the unit is installed in an area prone to freezing, wrap it with heat tape.
Install adapter fittings as needed. We recommend MEGATAPE® Brand Grey Kevlar PTFE Tape, wrapped 3–5 times, with a small amount of non-hardening thread sealant applied over the top of the tape. (We prefer MEGALOC® Brand.) Both are widely available.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN — If there are any leaks, undo the fittings and repeat the procedure.When done properly, no more than 1/2 to 3/4 turn beyondhand-tight should be required.
